Hi =?Utf-8?B?Um9i?=,
I am merging names & addresses to print a canned letter and everything merges
correctly. When I print the letters, however, the merged data prints correctly
except they are shaded/highlighted like they are on screen when you set them up.
How can I suppress the shading from printing?It always helps if you mention which version of Word you're having problems with
That helps us visualize the interface, and recognize known "gotchas" so that

Are you actually *executing* the merge to the printer or a new file? Generally,
field shading doesn't print (and there's no option for it), but...
Could this be a FORM, with form fields? Those will print shading; you turn the
shading on/off by clicking the "a" button in the Forms toolbar.
