Letters printing backwards

When i print a Word 2003 doc in two sided mode, the letters are printed
backwards and the printer starts printing the page at the bottom and works
its way to the top.

When in print in single sided, Word starts at the end of hte document and
prints from the last page forward reversing all the letters once again.

EVerything is therefore unreadable. Have made no changes to the settings.
Assistance appreciated

What does it look like in Print Preview? It sounds like a printer driver
issue. Check that you have the latest printer driver and then delete and
reinstall the printer.

It looks fine in preview. I just printed an excel document two sided, single
sided, etc. and it came out backwards too.

I checked out the HP website and it turns out that it is an issue caused by
XP service pack 3 with my particular printer. problem was solved by going
into the advanced settings of the printer and turning "mirror" off which SP3
seems to have turned on.
