level of folder/subfolders have anything to do with access file no

would the level of folder/subfolders have anything to do with an access file
not opening everytime selected? Or could it be the DFS permissions? I have
been told that server configurations vary from server to server causing an
access file to possibly not open if there were to many hops (levels) where
the file is stored. That didn't make sense can anyone please explain. thanks.

It talks about a slow database, but not stopping one from opening.

Thanks, good information. It's worth relocating dbase and testing. I
