Leveling Question / Problem

My company is running MS Project 2002 - Enterprise. I manage 10+ projects
with shared resources among the projects. I use the 'Priority' field to
manage relative priority of tasks and projects for the 25+ shared resources.
I have found that for some reason the system will throw the tasks out to the
year 2049, is there a reason for this? The work could obviously be done
before that time frame so what is causing the leveling algorithim to
miscalculate?

You would have to specify the leveling settings you are using in order to
answer that question. Most likely, you're not setting them finely enough.
