Hi
I have a server ( Windows 2000 SP4) which had Office 2000 installed on it.
My developers required it updating to Office Xp so i uninstalled Office 2000
and tried to install Office Xp. I Entered my Volume licence key which has
worked on other installs, clicked next and it gave me an eror of invalid
licence key.
I thought i had typed it in wrong so i doubled checked it and i hadnt, just
to make sure i tried to install it on another server and it accepted the
licence key.
I thought it maybye an MSI issue as my windows update had ceased to
function. So after 3 hours of tring to upgrade / reinsatll MSI to ver 2 , i
decided to put office 2000 back on with the same 2000 licence key as the
previous install only to find low and behold it says exactly the same bloody
error as office XP ,
So now i have a bunch of annoyed developers as all the wanted was an upgrade
!!!!! HELP SOMEONE
