Licencing Issues

Hello;

We have a copy of Visio 2002 which was in use by 2/3 users here in the
office that have since left the company and now we have another user that
wishes to use the product. Thoes previous systems have been wiped clean. How
can I find out if I can continue to use this product?

Depending on the type of license (retail, OEM, open, MSDN, etc...) As long
as it's not installed on any other machines you should be fine to install
it as long as you have the installation media for 2002. If it's a typical
retail license (e.g. you bought it from a store), the software licensing
terms say you can have Visio installed on one desktop and one portable
device. That's the same for any Office suite or Office standalone app. like
Visio. Since you've installed Visio on other machines, if it's the same
license key, you'll probably max out your Internet activations. If it's a
retail license, as long as you have it installed on only one desktop and
portable device at a time, you can activate over the phone. OEM licenses
(pre-installed by computer manufacturer) can only be installed on the
computer they came with.
