Licencing/registration question

Rob

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a second-hand full retail version of Office XP/2003
Pro from a friend who has uninstalled it from his PC as he is upgrading to
Office 2007.
Are there any licensing or registration issues that could arise when I go to
install the Office XP/2003 software on my PC in this scenario?

Thanks for your help.

If your friend is upgrading his version of Office to 2007, he needs a
qualifying product. Are the disks that he's selling that qualifying
product? If so, he cannot legally sell them. They technically become a
part of Office 2007 Upgrade.

Hi Brian,

My understanding is that he has purchased a stand-alone version of Office
2007 that does not require the earlier Office 2003 (i.e. it is not an
"upgrade" version of Office 2007).

Thanks for your help.

In that case, you should be fine.
