License on Student copy of Pro+

I just purchased Professional+ from my school under what I suppose is a
volume licensing agreement. The printout of the license agreement I got when
I bought it also says that it is a Student Select License Agreement. I was
told before I purchased it, that like the retail license, I could install it
on both my desktop and laptop. Is this true. I checked the copy of the
Student Select License agreement, and it does not say either way.

The following link, which I followed from the "Student Select" site
(http://www.microsoft.com/education/Select.mspx), suggests that what you
were told is correct:

http://www.microsoft.com/Education/WorkHome.mspx

"Education institutions that have acquired licenses through Microsoft
academic volume licensing programs may grant to their faculty and staff the
right to use a second copy of a limited selection of products on either a
home or portable computer for work-related purposes."

In your case, your "work" is your academic program, so my interpretation
would be that you can install both to your desktop and laptop under the
Student Select license agreement. Contact whomever administers the SS
program for your school if you're still uncertain.
