License question

razingkane

I just bought a laptop for my son (for school). I also purchased Office XP
Student. Can I install this copy of Office XP student on his laptop and
home PC, or do I have to purchase another copy of Office XP Student for his
home PC?

TIA,

Rick

If your son lives in your household then there should be
no problem as student edition gives you up to 3 installs.

Hi Rick,

There was a posting on MS's Press release website that
the Office 2003 Student and Teacher's edition may
allow multiple computer's to be supported.

For the Office XP Student and Teacher's edition
the license is for a single computer.
http://microsoft.com/office/forstudents

If you purchase Office XP on or after 15August
you will be able to upgrade to the Office 2003
edition for shipping and handling costs after Oct 21st.

Joey,

Please check your facts before posting - you are WRONG. Multiple
installations may apply from 2003 onwards they do *NOT* apply to XP - it's
one licence (copy) per computer.
