License Revocation

Dan Doherty

I have recently upgraded my organization from Groove 3.1 to Groove 2007.
With 3.1 I was able to add/revoke licenses from the Groove.net site. Since
2007 I am not able to do this. How do I revoke Groove 2007 licenses when
employees leave the company?

Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

The licensing model has changed quite a bit, both from a legal /
commercial point of view as from a technical point of view.

Technically, in Groove 3.1 you did NOT activate a product but you
activated an account instead.
In Groove 2007 you activate the product only.

Note : the former "activation keys" have now become "configuration keys".

In practice this means that the product Groove is activated on the PC.
When changing your PC, you are entitled to use the product license key
on the new device. However, you can only do so once every 90 days.
You will need to call Microsoft's customer services for doing so.

Hope this helps :)
