Licensing of Office 2007 Home and Student edition

I need to know if the licensing of Office 2007 Home and Student edition
permits use of this suite by a pastor of a Church, a religious non-profit
organization, on his home PC as well as on the home PC and notebook computer
of his student son. At his church office he is using an older Office suite,
not a home or student edition, but he might have an occasional need to revise
his sermons created there on his home PC. Is this use permitted by the
license?

Are there license restrictions to Office Home and Student 2007?

households. It cannot be used in commercial (business) situations.

As a small business, can I use Office Home and Student 2007 at my work?

That doesn't really answer his question or mine.

The non-commercial use doesn't speak directly to the use of Home/Student by
non-profit (i.e. non-commercial) organizations. Nor does the answer seem to
apply to a person using his home computer to complete work at home.

In effect quoting the FAQ is a non-answer.

I have a similar question in that my office is at home. I am also a pastor
and part of a non-commercial, non-profit organization. May I use Home/Student
in my home office in completion of my tasks for this non-profit organization?
The FAQ doesn't answer the question and (to me) hints, in its language that I
may (since i'm using it in my home for non-commercial purposes). But I want
to be sure.

I'd also like to see an answer to another question: May a non-profit
organization use Home/Student edition? If so, may I share my home-office copy
with my church (assuming that I'm allowed to have a home-office copy)?

Non-profit is not non-commercial. Non-commercial is home use, like homework,
greeting cards, family budgets, not working in your home.

While I would differ with whether an organization that is not engaged in
commerce is "not non-commercial," I did manage to find this in the
Home/Student EULA:

"The software is not licensed for use in any commercial, non-profit, or
revenue-generating business activities."

That means that although I was considering MS Office (I've got the trial
version installed now), I won't be buying it. What I really want is OneNote.
I can't afford Office Suite Ultimate that includes OneNote. So I'll have to
consider whether I can justify spending $100 on OneNote alone.

I find it frustrating that these package deals make me buy stuff I don't
want, or pay more for what I do. All I really need/want is Word and OneNote.
I guess I'll stick with Word XP for now and decide whether or not I'm going
to buy OneNote as a stand-alone.
