limit entry to quarter days

Hello,

When I am updating my schedule quickly I sometimes extend a task to the
incorrect duration, ie. 4.97 days as opposed to 5 days. Is it possible to
limit the entry to quarter days only?

Thanks,
Ellen

Not without writing VBA code to trap the change and then round duration for
you.

It sounds like you're trying to drag the task ending date to a new duration
in the standard Gantt chart with your mouse. If you're tracking progress
and it looks like the duration estimate needs to be revised, go to the
Tracking Table (that's where you really should be entering progress info
anyway). Let's say Task X originally was expected to take 5 days. You 've
been working on it two days now and you realize it should have been
estimated for a total of 8 days. Enter 2 days in the Actual Duration field,
6 days in the Remaining Duration field, and you'll see the total duration
will be revised to 8 days.

Sorry, that would require some coding.
Instead of dragging the bars to extend duration, how about inserting the
remaining duration column and keying the desired value?
