Limit of layers of subforms

Is there a limit to the number of layers you can use
subforms for? For example, I have a form (Main) with a
subform (Audits) with a subform (Errors) with a subform
(Appeals). I can't get the last subform to display. All
that displays is the frame of the subform, but not the
source object. This makes me think that the limit to the
number of layers of subforms is 2. Is this correct?

That was the limit in Access 97. I thought it was higher in later versions.

Mike,

I believe subforms can be nested to 7 levels. Getting the
LinkChildFields and LinkMasterFields set correctly can sometimes be
tricky. Other than that, I don't know what could be causing the
problem.

IIRC, about 7 levels in A2K and AXP.

OTOH, think of your users who don't know and don't have to know the
Relational Database Design Theory who will be struggling to use a Form as
complicated as you proposed.

Personally, I use a max. of ONE level of Subforms.
