Limit styles in toolbar

L

Lee

I am creating templates in Word 2000, sp3. Several styles are being
used, including those for headings, lists, and style references. Is
there a way to limit styles displayed (listed) in the format toolbar?
For example, the users should see in the list styles customized for
headings, but not the styles created for the style refs.

Thank you,
Lee

Hi Lee,

They implemented this feature in Word 2003. Through document
protection you can limit the Styles available.

For previous versions controlling available styles is difficult.
Perhaps someone will pop in and share methods they have used but so
far I've had no luck without turning to VBA.
