Limit which contacts show in "to" field drop down list?

When composing an email...... and picking an address
for the "to" filed from the drop down list.... is there
some way i can only have a subset of contacts of my
choice show up?

I keep a lot of contact info.... but only email to a
small percentage of them.... hence the question

Creating separate Contacts Subfolders is the usual way to do this. You
cannot filter the Outlook Address Book.

Dang..... OK

I thought maybe that was the only solution.

However I use categories for my contacts vs separate
sub folders...... as was suggested here awhile back

That may still be a better solution for you in the long run, even though it
won't help with the Outlook Address Book issue.
