The max size is 2 GB for the mdb/mde file. However, I tend to look for an
upsize path (except for static data) well before 500 MB. There are other
reasons when I think of upsizing, most notable, how important the database
application to the business and how many "dynamic" users using the database.
It should be noted that even with 500 MB, it can hold a lot of data if you
don't store graphic or OLE fields. I have customers using the same
databases for years and the databases are still less than 50 MB.
