Limitations of standalone installation of Word

B

Bindhu

Hi All,

We have installed Word using a standalone setup (i.e. not the full
Office setup) on Windows 2003 and our VB Application which uses word
automation did not work and reported ActiveX error. However, if we
install Word using the Office setup, then the application does work
(regardless of whether we install full office or just the Word
component). Is there any such restriction with the standalone setup of
word?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Bindhu

Nothing occurs to me, right off hand, but Word is large and complex.
What are you trying to manipulate when the error occurs? What's the
exact error message?
