Greetings

Does anyone know of a way to produce a Word document and limit the number of
times a recipient can print?

Thanks

JP

If there was a way, I would think that you could just forward it on to
another recipient and start all over again. Anything I can see on my
computer can be printed. And any number of times.

Hi JoAnn

I understand this can be done with pdf files using 3rd party software - that
prevents copying, and limits the number of printouts. Doesn't stop
photocopying or scanning of course, but I have a friend who is wanting to
achieve the same with Word files.

Like I said, if I can see it, I can print it regardless of any third-party
software. Don't need a copier or a scanner - screenshots will do all I need.

Once you give someone access to a document, even in pdf format with it's
supposed protection methods, which are easily circumvented, you have ceded
all control over the document to the recipient.
