Limiting the amount of e-mails downloading for initial POP3 setup

I have an account on our Exchange 2003 server that I use with Outlook via
Microsoft Exchange Server settings. However, I needed to setup a POP3
account with the same e-mail address for a side project.

However, after I setup the POP3 account and click Send/Receive in Outlook,
the system is trying to pull down ALL of my e-mail, which is about 40,000.

Is there a way to limit the e-mail for POP3 to pull down to only e-mail sent
to me within the last 7 days?
