Hi, all. I'm exploring the possibility of using Infopath to document
workflows. The current form is a Word 2007 document for a template. It
involves some check boxes, date pickers and drop-down menus for users, and
text fields to document the flow in an numbered outline format. Users or I
capture this info, then users or I edit/comment on the info using Track
Changes. Editing/commenting can go on for some time. Can Infopath handle
this well? Or would I be better served using Word, then saving the final
product in Infopath?
I'm also concerned about protecting the document's formatting and form
fields. Since the document must be protected to activate the check boxes and
drop-down menus, users have had trouble using the text fields. When the
document is unprotected, users have a field day with the form fields
controlling the drop down menus and check boxes. ?????
Thanks in advance
