LIne above amount

We have data that is imported into a Word file and want to add a line above
the total amounts. but not the words (see below). There are several different
totals in the document.
Total Services $2,948.50
If we use Borders & Shading it puts a box around the entire text field. We
only want a line above the amount. Line draw will work, but that is extremely
time consuming.

Any help you can give me is appreciated. Thank you in advance for this.

If this is a protected form, you probably won't be able to use this method.
But if you put the total field in a table cell, you can use a top border on
the cell.
