Hello everybody. Below is my TOC and for some reason there are two
line breaks between 3.2.1.2 and 3.2.1.3 and also in 3.2.1.3 between b)
and c). I just can't figure out why they are there. I would be really
grateful if somebody could help me.
Thanks a lot, Vanessa

Sorry, what I meant is that the line breaks are in my document map,
not in my TOC.

Can you not delete the page breaks? Your TOC should still be able to update
(using F9 button), even with removing them. If you're using a document that
someone else has used before you, or if you're using one of your old docs,
then you just might be carrying over some formatting from the old one, to the
new one.

The likelihood is that you have empty paragraphs formatted with heading
styles.
