Line Corners

Is there a way to create line corners other than the predefined rounded
corners (such as a 45° chamfer) and apply them only to selected vertices?

When drawing objects such as a wiring harness or bus, it is useful to see
which direction a branch is coming from with a bend. Other corners on the
branched line remain right-angled.

I can draw line portions to make it look right, but the end-end connection
is lost. This makes it hard to move objects and can't be used to create a
connection database.

I can't visualize exactly what you are doing but you can get some good
effects by combining the boolean operations:

Try Shape > Operations > Fragment / Union and Trim / Join

Chris:
What he is referring to is that in the line format is an option for corner
rounding. You can choose from a sharp 90 deg corner or a more rounded
corner.

What KC is looking for is rather than rounded it should look like (a
vertical and horizontal line joined by a 45 deg line segment)

Yes, that's what I mean by chamfer.

Below, I can tell that 'x' is connected to 'o' and not '+' but it would
require a connecting line with both a 45° and a 90° bend.
