Line formatting in Word formula editor

Michael

Right now I'm trying to enter several large formulas (larger than the
width of the paper) in a Word document. Does anyone now wheter there
is a possibilty to continue long formulas in the next line? When I use
'enter/return' inside parentheses the parentheses expands to the next
line. But I want the opening parenthesis only on the first line and
the closing parenthesis only on the next line.

Hi, Michael,

If you have to break the equation into two lines, and you don't want the
parentheses to enclose both lines, then you can't use the parentheses button
on the toolbar. Instead, you have to type them with the regular parenthesis
keys.
