My question is when you have an equation, how do you form a line graph without creating a table? Is there a way to just type the equation in and have the comp. format the graph? if anyone can help please be specific about the steps.

Thank you

There's no way to do it in XL. There are many free and commercial
packages that will do this for you.

I forgot about Stepehen's method! Thanks for pointing it out.

Note that it doesn't work with all XL functions (I don't know that it's
been tested with the Analysis Toolpak Add-in functions). But it's still
impressive.

Hi,

Macs come with a superb program that is designed precisely for that
purpose. It's called Grapher. It's in Applications > Utilities.
