line indicator

word 2003, have document in Print Layout View. When I access my Autocorrect
or any of the toolbar options, the LN indicator in the bottom toolbar stops
working, and I have to change to a different view and then back to Print
Layout View to get it to start keeping track again. ? thanks for your time!
