Line numbering problem in Word 2003

Hello!

When I created a numbered list, from the number 10 and up, Word puts a large
space between the number and the first character of the text for that line.

It looks like this

9. Some text here
10. Some text here
11. Some text here

Any idea why this is happening?

It's because you are now using a double digit number and the tabs are
set to a certain number. Format | Bullets & Numbering | Numbering |
Customize and set your tab there so that they're all uniform. I hope
