Line/Paragraph Spacing

Hi everyone,

This is driving me crazy. My word documents have spontaneously begun
going haywire in the formatting department. Whenever I press return
the cursor moves halfway down the page, or to the foot of the page (in
blank documents). In lengthy documents the gap between paragraphs
gets exponentially bigger. Is this a corruption? It seems no matter
what I do in the formatting nothing changes. I'd greatly appreciate
some help.

Regards,

Max

Hi Max:

Look up "Vertical Justification" in the Help and turn it off.

You have set up your document layout so that it is vertically justified
between the top and bottom margins.

I can't remember where this is in Word 2004: Try File> Page Setup. Click
the Layout tab in the Page Setup dialog box, choose Justified in the
'Vertical alignment' drop-down list, and pick Whole document in the 'Apply
to' list.

Cheers

You're a star! Thank you so much!

Just to let you know, in Word 2004 it was Format>Document>Layout

Once again THANK YOU, I can't tell you what a relief this is.

I KNOW what a relief it is -- I got caught by it myself on a document
someone sent me :)

Cheers
