line screen options for printing photos

I'm trying to find seetings in Word so that when I print out my newsletter
the photos dot pattern are large enough that when I go to make xerox copies
the photo does'nt get to dark. In design programs you can change the line
screen to control the halftone dot size.

You partially answered your own question - Word is *not* a design program,
it's a word processing program. For best results your graphics should be
finalized in a graphics editing program before being placed in a doc.

Although Word doesn't offer any type of control for line screen, you *may*
be able to make adjustments to your printer through File>Print, click the
Properties button & see if there is anything available to help improve the
quality of the output. Don't overlook the 'Advanced' button that's usually
lurking around in the Properties.
