I work in a word processing department where standard practice for org charts
in Word documents is to create them in PowerPoint and then paste special as a
picture into the Word document. Recently I've noticed that any lines with
arrows on them are increasing noticeably in weight when pasted as a picture
(e.g., .75 point weight is taking on the appearance of 1 point or more). This
is especially obvious in org charts that contain a mix of lines with arrows
and without, as the lines with arrows appear to be "bold". The problem occurs
with any lines with arrows created with the Office drawing tool, whether
created in PowerPoint, Word or anywhere else.
I'm working in Office 2002. Has there been a recent update that may have
caused this? It is happening on all PCs in the Word Processing center as well
as my home PC, but I'm sure that it hasn't always happened in 2002 or I would
have noticed it before. Also, I tried pasting some charts that were created a
few months ago and the lines with arrows were fine. And the increase in line
weight is visible both on screen and in print outs.
