Hi
I use ms project 2007.
I have no idea what's going on but tasks (lines) are mixin
automatically in my file (tasks from one subtask are moved to other)
The empty lines are creating.

Where is the problem?

It could be conflict between 2003 and 2007 version ??

At the bar on the bottom i can see: CALCULATION - what does it mean?

Check the following.

1. On the main menu: Project/Group By... make sure it says no group.
1a. Project/Sort/Sort by ID... You may have things sorted in another
order.
2. Make sure the latest service packs are installed as this was a problem
prior to SP2.
3. On the main menu Tools/Options/Calculation (tab) set it to Automatic
which should address your second post.

Hi
Jim, it doesn't help. Today was the same.

I have: no group, sort by ID, automatic calculation. The SP2 has bee
installed today.

It's strange a bit. I open my file....working on it.....save it....an
it seems to be all OK. But when I open it again......CALCULATE at th
bottom appears.....an lines are mixed.

Have no idea what's wrong

Hello jkazan,

I saw the same issue (scrambled ID numbers) on a file that someone
sent to me. I rebuilt the file through saving as XML and then
opening the XML file. It seems to have solved the problem.

See FAQ 43 "Handling project file corruption and/or bloat" at:

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
