lines in boxes dissapear in preview

I am using pub 2000 on an xp win computer, Pentium 4 with 512 meg ram, when
I preview my web site some fine lines do not show, it is most noticeable on
boxes where 3 sides show and one side is missing, also some text is not
aligned or formatted when all the rest of the page formatting is fine.

quite often you just have to do some tweaking in the design to get the
output you are expecting.

gotcha's could include- html code fragments sized to small, and layering of
objects.
