lines in report

Hi all,
I have a report in Access97 that is printed out and used
as a form for staff to fill in. This report has dozens of
vertical and horizontal lines on it and alone has added
500 kb to the size of my .mdb file. Also, when it's
printed using underlying data to fill in the fields, it
can take a long time to finish a 100 page job.
Is there a more efficient way of displaying all the lines
that are needed?
The report only has a Report Header, Report Footer and
Detail section if this helps at all.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Dave

How are you creating the lines? You might want to try using the Line method.
I wasn't aware that lines would add that much overhead to a report. Another
option might be to use rectangles rather than lines. I'm not sure how this
would affect the memory usage or time to print.

Hi Duane,
I've created the lines using the line tool in the Tool
Box. They are static and only used to divide the form into
sections.

If the line controls are adding that much over-head, you can try one of the
methods I suggested.
