lines next to headings, where they shouldn't be!

i have generated a contents page in word 2000, however on the right
hand side of all headings, except heading 1, they have a little
vertical line drawn there... how do i get rid of this, as it appears
when i print the document too

Sounds like you may have Track Change on. Open the Reviewing Toolbar and use
the Accept Changes option.

i had a border on the right hand side... no idea how they got there bu
all gone now
