lines printing with dots

I'm a small commercial printer using Pub 2002. The problem I'm having occurs
when sending a file to my post script RIP, the "lines" created in the
original file are coming through with dots. I've checked the colors to make
sure they're solid, but it doesn't help. The solid fills and type come
through ok, it's just the lines. Any suggestions?

I've tried sending them as CMYK and spot. Nothing seems to work. All lines
still have dots. This must be a Publisher issue because it doesn't happen to
any other software programs I use.

I think that the problem is an RGB problem. The output is in RGB and
black is not a color color.

Some rips have settings that can solve this. if you have a harlequin 5.3
+ look in the color options for the setup you are tring to use and tell
it to make rgb black 10ºK.
