Lining up Column Borders Word 2002

I am having a bit of a nightmare lining up the vertical
borders of my table after I have added cells.

After a bit of fiddling around, I can finally get the
right or left border of a cell to line up with the one
above, but it takes forever!

Is there an easy way to get them all to line up?

Any help would be really appreciated.
