Link 2 Inserted Worksheet Objects

John P Henderson

I have a Word (2000) document that I have inserted, not
linked, 2 Excel Worksheet Object. Within word I would
like to place the values in one worksheet in the value of
another worksheet.

How can this be done?

Thanks,

Hi John,

It can be done by copying in the one worksheet, then using
Edit/Paste Special in the other sheet. But the target sheet
may NOT be formatted with any text flow (perferably, neither
object is). You also need to be aware that such a link is
extremely fragile. You have to be careful to not delete the
bookmark for the source. And if you ever save the file under
a different name, you'll also lose the link.
