Link Access'97 on client to remote server with phpMyAdmin

phpMyAdmin is used to administrate MySQL databases in a web based environment.
1) Do I have to manually create a copy of my Access database in MySQL on the
server?
2)Or, do I have to manually create a copy of my Access database in MySQL on
my PC, the client?
For both 1 & 2 I expected activation through "Export" on Access's menu bar,
opening some form driven by ODBC.

MySQL 3.23.52 and the latest ODBC driver are installed on my PC.

3)Should MySQL open a form driven by ODBC. Can't discover an option for that
either.

If I get the database on the server, I would like to make it accessible
through a form on my web site. In doing so, trying to immitate e-Commerce.
For web site design I am using Frontpage 2003. Microsoft explains that you
will need a server with SharePoint Services installed. This will not be the
case with Servers offering hosting facilities for web sites, as I understand.
Will this mean, even if I am able to establish communication between Access
on my PC and MySQL on the server, that I will not be able to run active
e_Commerce pages on my web site?
