Link Bar Alignment problem - It's adding space between Items

I created a .DWT for my site that includes a Link Bar (menu) for all pages.
Works great except for 1 thing - On my .DWT page, the LINK BAR defaults to NO
Line Spaces between the items - looks perfect. However when I link my .DWT to
all other pages, the Link Bar on those linked pages expands the entire
(vetical) length of my page (the length of my EDITABLE area) - resulting in
spaces/gaps between my menu items .... I've looked at my tables to see if I
erroneously added cell spacing or some other formatting but don't see any
reason for this "auto expanision" of my Link Bar.

Any ideas where I need to look?

Make sure the link bar is in a separate table / cell from the editable content
