link bar on home page

Hi, I'm Steve Taylor, and a total newbie at this. I would give you a page
link but I have not yet published!
I am in FPage 03, and have done my learning from a book which explained
shared borders b4 talking about dynamic templates.....so I have shared
borders. I have the appropriate checkmarks for "apply to all pages". I
have nice link bars on every page except the home page itself and I can't
figger out how to make them show up on the home page. I have tried all the
nav property setups.....parent, global, etc, with Same being the one that is
seemingly best for me. I have 11 pages but no subpages......all are on one
level under the home page.
Can anyone straighten me out? I'd sure appreciate it. I have a nice page
started for my band but for a 56 yr old guy with basic-only skills this is a
very daunting task!
Thanks kindly for any help. And after that I'll have a couple-twenty more
Qs prob'ly! Thanks again, Stipo

Your home page file name needs to be the same as that required by your Host
Then check View Navigation and make sure that file name is the home page (has the home icon in it) with the other pages linked to
it

I'm not sure "who" the host is....I believe I mention what a crawling newbie
I am!
The file name on the home page is "index.htm" and has the home page icon.
When I created the Nav structure (by drag and drop from the file folder
list), the homepage "folder" was already on the Nav view.
I created another website with the same template just to see what the .htm
filenames were, and "index.htm" showed the home page icon there as well. I
have since deleted that website...it was just to check that I still had the
correct filenames.
In the initial stages of setup I attempted to change some file names,
probably in the "file folder list", however when I got a warning message I
cancelled the action. Could that have any effect on this problem?
BTW, thanks for taking the time.... Stipo
