Link Bar With Custom Links

P

Paul W Smith

I have starting to successfully develop a web site using FrontPage 2003.

I have been testing in on my IIS server on my PC and all has been going
well.

On my homepage (index.htm) I have a 'Link Bar with custom links' which has
links to my four second level pages. The buttons I have chosen look fine in
Design, Preview and when tested on my IIS. However I have just Published
the site to my 'live' web server for the first time and although the link
bar is there the button images are not. I have the hyperlinks to the four
second level pages but no button images.

On the lower level pages I have 'Bar based on Navigation structure' link bar
and this uses the same buttons and these pages look as they should, and as
they do in Preview and on my IIS. So there is no problems here, just on the
home page using the custom links navigation bar.

What am I doing wrong, or how should I correct my problem.

Did you publish using FP in http mode?
Do any of your page file names have spaces or punctuation in them (remove them)?
Provide a URL of your published site
