link cell content and format

i'm trying to link cells on different worksheets in the
same workbook to that when i make a change to the cell
content or format on the source document the changes will
flow to the worksheets. i have linked the cells and the
content changes but the formatting doesn't. does anybody
know how to do this?

You'll have to use an event macro, since worksheet functions can
only return values, not formats. Here's one way:
