Hi folks, I wonder if someone can cut through all the muddle here and show me
what I'm obviously missing.
I've created a rather simple little MSAccess database, alongside a very
simple little DAP, with which to add and updata the data contained therein.
I've also found a place to host the .mdb file, and publish my DAP and related
ASP file online. Only problem is, whenever I try to open the DAP in IE, it
gives the error "Microsoft Office Web Components could not open the database
"\\globalcable\DB\GlobalDB.mdb"... and then I'm stuck. Ok, I understand that
obviously I'm not supplying the correct path to the database, in the
Connection Field location on my DAP... got it. But how exactly DO I supply
the correct path? I've tried simply typing in the http:// location of my
database, but that doesn't seem to do any better. What am I missing here?
I'm a smart girl, but seriously this is making me feel like an absolute
idiot. There just HAS to be a simple explanation, if only I could see it.
Help please??
