Link Dbase III with Access 2000

Hello,


I need your help with the following situation:
I've convert an access app from access 97 to access 2000. All seams ok.

But, there a problem:
I can't link a Dbase III table used in the program if the that database is
already open. But in access 97 i have'nt that problem.

If i link the table and run the apllication that works fine.
But in run time or making a link in design view, it appear a error message
if the table in dbase is opened.

There any way to solve the question? In access 2000...
