Link excel data to a visio 2002 professional shape

I would like to link the data from a cell in excel to a shape in visio 2002 professional (I need to see the linked data in visio). It would be nice if i could also refresh the data in visio upon changes in excel. Is this possible in this version?

As far as I know the only way would be via VBA. Others may know of different
solutions.

You can use the Link to Database wizard found under Tools \ Macros \ Visio
Extras \ Link to Database.

Note that for Excel, you need to create a "Named Range" around the cells
that you want Visio to link to. Then create a DSN to the Named Range (which
serves as a table to Visio). The Link to Database dialog can then look up
the DSN and the Table and map your Visio shapes to the Excel Data.

Hope this helps
