Link Excel -sizing object

In pasting a linked Excel object that is larger than one Word page, is there
any way to spread the object over multiple Word pages? My only solution is
to copy of what cells in Excel will fit to a page in Word, paste link object,
and continue to do that until I have all of the Excel rows showing in Work.
Otherwise it won't print but part of the Excel link. This is no different
than if you paste a photo and it spreads beyond the page borders - how do you
change an object to split it into multiple pages for printing. I do not want
to change the paper size since I need 8-1/2x11 to print. Actually, the same
problem occurs in PowerPoint with linked objects.

In Word no object can span multiple pages. Likewise, an object can't span
multiple slides in PPt. If you need it constrained to a letter-sized page
you have to scale down the object or - as you've discovered - split it into
separate objects on each page. The latter approach makes for problematic
printing & viewing, however.

Another approach is to print the Excel content from Excel then insert the
physical output into the Word document after printing it.
