Link problem \ changed to / which causes problem

Hi

When making a link to a file (in Excel2002, SP2) then
excel 2002 changes the last backslash(\) to a forward
slash (/).
When another person opens the document in Excel97 SR-2
then it cannot find the link because of the changed slash.

Any ideas???
