Link text file referenced by an URL

Hi,

I'm trying to create a link table from a text file (csv)
referenced by an URL (http://localhost/test.csv).
I'm able to navigate to the file in the web folder, but
after selecting the file I get the following error:

The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the
object '......'. Make sure the object exists and that you
spell its name and the path name correctly.

Is it possible to link files with such a reference?
If so what is the reason of this error?
