Link to another cell within the same sheet?

I am attempting to use an alphabet guide at the top of a sheet to link to corresponding sections further down.

The A letter would forward link to the A section, the F letter to to the F section, and so on. Given that I want to do this within the same sheet I can't seem to find a way to hyperlink to only specific cell and not a file or separate sheet.

It's a bit convoluted on the surface, but that's exactly what you have to
do.

In the Hyperlink dialog select Document & navigate to the current file.
Specify which sheet & cell reference/range name just as though you were
linking to a different workbook... include a Screen Tip if you wish.

Excel doesn't have an "internal" hyperlink equivalent, although you might
consider using Named Ranges & navigate to them via the Name Box at the left
end of the Formula Bar.

Thanks Bob.
Sorry, I'm just getting familiar with using this program to a fuller degree so can you please teach me how I "specify which sheet & cell reference/range name"?

I have the file path in the "Link to" field that looks like this: file://localhost/Users/me/Desktop/Customer%20Records.xlsx
do I add on something?

I figured it out.

I have another question tho. How do I get the hyperlink to stay linked with the contents of a particular cell. Right now, if I add any additional rows the link is inaccurate.

Hope this makes sense and thanks again for the help.

There may be other options I'm not aware of but I don't believe you can do
that without creating a range name for the cell/range you want as a target.
Once you name the range create the hyperlink to it rather than the cell
reference.

I am taking your advice and trying to name the range, which I think I have. My question now is how do I direct the hyperlink to the range, and also, will the range expand if I add a row or a cell within it so I won't need to define it with each added item?

I have the file path in the "Link to" field that looks like this: file://localhost/Users/me/Desktop/Customer%20Records.xlsx

Create the hyperlink (or edit it) in exactly the same way as usual, but
instead of specifying a cell reference & sheet name when you go into the
Locate dialog open the list of Defined Names & select the appropriate one.

If you insert or Delete rows between the Hyperlink cell & its target the
link will still work as expected - no need to revise it.
