Link to contact from Excel spreadsheet

Hi I have a client who would like to have a link from an Excel spreadsheet to
individual contacts. What he wants to be able to do is: when in Excel he
wants to have the option of clicking on an entry and have the contact
information for that person come up in a new window. Is this possible and if
so how would I configure it?
